I am a first-year MBA student (2022-24) at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi (FMS Delhi). I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Kerala (2020).
Like a surprising number of my classmates, I chose Mechanical Engineering for my undergraduate degree because I was inspired by Tony Stark. I joined mechanical engineering convinced that I would not make a career in that domain. Therefore, I tried to enjoy the courses that I had, though I did not actually do as well academically as I would have liked.
My journey to an MBA was not very straightforward. I spent some time after my graduation pursuing some other professional goals. I was unemployed during this period and finally decided to pivot to an MBA. Other than that, I was always interested in reading up on finance, governance, polity, business etc. which might have helped me develop a foundation for my MBA.
I am a keen debater and speaker and enjoy reading books and watching anime. Fantasy fiction and legal thrillers are some of my genres of choice. Of late, I spend most of my time watching OTT content in my free time. Depending on what I want, I choose to consume Sitcoms and casual shows to relax or watch some drama when I feel that life needs a bit more action. I also enjoy going on casual drives once in a while.
I have written the CAT 4 times (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022), the serious attempt being CAT 2021 for which I attended online coaching, and finally gained my MBA admission.
